  My dad bought this for me when I was pregnant and I thought it was unnecessary money spent but now my son is 15 months old I wouldn't be without it.
  
  We bought the sock and camera bundle but just used the sock while baby was in our room in the next to me crib. The first couple of weeks we had some false alerts but newborns have irregular breathing and I think we weren't putting the sock on tight enough also.
  
  It definitely gave me peace of mind knowing that his vitals were being monitored. It really helped when we moved him in his own room at 6 months old. It's great to wake up and glance at the base station glowing green and knowing he's fine, rather than going to his room to check on him every once in a while.
  
  The camera has been fine. The app takes a few seconds to open which is annoying. And the app does go down sometimes, but as long as the base station is glowing the baby is still being monitored amd alerts would go of if needed so that's ok.
  
  Although the app has a setting where you can have the app noise from the camera on in the background when your phone is locked, this isn't reliable or ideal when most smartphones do software updates etc overnight. So we do also have a cheap audio monitor so we know we will hear our son in the night. I'd love to see owlet bring out a version with a portable device to view the camera from.
  
  This would make using the owlet at different households easier. The app/sock does remember the last 3 wifi connections it has been set up to which makes it much easier when our son stays at his grandparents so we don't have to set up from scratch everytime.
  
  Overall there is definitely room for improvement, but I would recommend getting one for peace of mind. I don't think I'd sleep as well with out it.
  
  I'd like to see options on the uk website to buy spare socks (just the fabric bit) as the one I have could do with replacing. I see on the US site there are options to buy other fabric socks in different designs too.
