  I looked at various saws up to my budget limit of around £250.
  It seemed for the extra money over the lower cost models this was more powerful, larger capacity, two speed and came with an extra blade and attachments. Also the bed seemed more solid than others
  
  Out the box assembly was quite straight forward but it doesn’t stop there. It is quite a lengthy job to get the blade tracking right (I even had to adjust the bottom pulley on which there is no guidance in the handbook). I would advise anyone to set the blade tracking and tension up and only then move onto adjusting the blade tension rollers - 6 of them.
  Setting it up to my liking probably took me 2 hrs. There is no blade tension gauge so that element is very much a guess.
  Having said all the above once everything is set the saw cuts very accurately and with ease. I could easily cut a sliver of wood square as a match stick 12 inches long.
  The unit is fairly portable and very stable and free from vibration in use.
  I would have no hesitation in recommending but you do have to have some mechanical skills and don’t expect to use it straight out the box.
